Race Entry
Race entry for 2013 is closed. The entrants list and waitlist are posted on our Entrants page. The process for 2014 will be the same as this year, with runners registering for the lottery via ultrasignup.com starting next February 1st. Volunteers from 2013 who wish to run next year will be given the opportunity in advance to by-pass the lottery. We love our volunteers!!

Race Overview
Cascade Crest is a challenging 100 mile trail run through the Central Cascades of Washington State. The course currently runs as a clockwise loop from the Easton Fire Station. The race starts is 10:00 am Saturday morning and there is an overall time limit of 32 hours.
Randy Gehrke founded and directed the race from 1999 through 2005. Charlie Crissman directed the race from 2007 through 2012. Their efforts have established Cascade Crest as one of the premier 100 milers in the country. 2013 will be the 15th year of the run.
The current course record is 18:27:52 by Rod Bien of Bend, OR in 2011.
The women's record is 21:15 by Darcy Africa of Boulder, CO in 2007.
Jeremy Humphrey (18:31:06) and Shawna Tompkins (21:15:55) each hold the second fastest time.
Race Qualifier
Entrants must complete an organized trail 50-miler or longer between January 1st, 2013 and July 31st, 2013, or prove adequate experience to finish the run. Completion of any previous trail 100-miler is adequate experience.
Trail Work Details
Entrants get to do 8 hours of trail work. This trail work must be completed between January 1st, 2013 and July 31st, 2013. Documentation of your trail work must be completed using the online submission form prior to August 1st. Trail work can be done where it is convenient for the runner. We recommend contacting your local US Forest Service office for trail work opportunities. For locals, the Washington Trails Association hosts trail work parties nearly every weekend in beautiful locations throughout the state. The trail work requirement applies to all entrants. Volunteering at a race does not constitute trail work.
Cancellation Policy
Entrants that cancel their registration by August 1st will be reimbursed $100. Do not enter if you are not prepared to forfeit the rest of the entry fee if you are unable to run.
