History

Cascade Crest has a deserved reputation as a tough and scenic 100-miler.

Race Directors

Race founder Randy Gehrke set up an excellent course and established the Cascade’s low-key friendly atmosphere during his seven years at the helm from 1999 to 2005.

Charlie Crissman, RD from 2007-2012, maintained that Cascade charm and further developed the race into today's Pacific Northwest Classic.

From 2013 to 2021, RD Rich White fine-tuned the course, navigated unprecedented wildfires, and established Cascade Crest as one of the most sought-after races in the Pacific Northwest.

Jess Mullen, RD since 2022, strives to keep the old-school feel and community vibe at this special race.
